Bailamos! is an independently operated app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Information We Collect

• Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and display name via Clerk, our authentication provider.
• Event data. If you are an organizer, we store the event details you submit (title, description, location, date, images).
• Saved events. We store which events you have saved so we can restore that state across devices.
• Location. With your permission, we use your device's precise location to find events near you. Your coordinates are sent to our servers to perform location-based filtering but are not stored against your account or retained after the request completes.
• Usage data. We collect standard server logs (timestamps, request paths, error codes) for reliability and debugging. We also collect IP addresses for rate limiting and abuse prevention. These are not tied to individual users.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account.
• To display events and class listings relevant to your location.
• To allow organizers to manage their events.
• To improve the reliability and performance of the App.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Clerk — handles account creation, login, and session management. See clerk.com/legal/privacy.
• Railway — cloud infrastructure where our servers and database run (United States).
• Law enforcement or regulators when required by law.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see below). Server logs are automatically purged after 30 days.

Your Rights

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information in your profile.
• Delete your account and associated data.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
